Andrew Markew
Owner
Design Consultant / Project Manager
Andrew began his journey in landscaping at the young age of 16. He developed his skill set and eye for design utilizing pieces of each project to compile compelling and intricate landscapes. In 2004, Andrew brought Whitby Shores Landscaping to fruition.
Through hours of hard work, perseverance, and integrity, his clients’ visions came to life. Andrew’s two-man operation grew rapidly into a large multi-faceted company servicing Durham Region and the GTA, and, by 2016, Whitby Shores’ work was recognized and backed by Bryan Baeumler of HGTV to become one of his approved contracting companies in the landscape industry.
Andrew’s passion shines through on every interaction he has with homeowners and each of the projects he leads and he makes every renovation experience for the client as simple and enjoyable as possible and looks forward to working with you.
Jesse Bertrand
Landscape Foreman
Jesse began landscaping in 2007. Like many landscapers his passion took shape early and he set his sights for success by working hard to achieve each goal set out in front of him.
Jesse takes great pride in his work and recognizes the challenges his team members may face especially, when working alongside younger team members. Jesse is eager to teach new skills, learn, and challenge himself and aims to please.
His accuracy and precision are his greatest strengths along with leadership and work ethic.
Jesse is a proud member of the Whitby Shores team and demonstrates true craftsmanship in the industry.
Victoria Caprio
Office Manager
Victoria manages our day to day operations and works behind the scenes to organize and coordinate our projects so that each one runs as smoothly as possible.
Victoria is also responsible for managing office operations, procedures, meeting with customers and her excellent customer service all help provide your best experience with Whitby Shores.
Joanne Shaw
Landscape Designer
Joanne has spent the past 15 years designing landscapes in Durham Region and the GTA and takes a very collaborative approach with each of our clients and is passionate about creating landscapes and outdoor living spaces for real people with busy lives.
Joanne specializes in low maintenance landscapes and gardens with seasonal interest that are both practical and functional.
Joanne’s ability to immerse herself in your lifestyle enables her to create what will be the best fit for you at your home. Joanne’s knowledge, experience and education in design will surely maximum curb appeal and increase the value of your home.
